#OFFICE 365 TEAMS FULL#
During meeting presenter have full control over the meeting attenders which is too good feature.ĩ. Even very impactful in low bandwidth internet connection.Ĩ. In-built whiteboard feature is plus-point for using this app over other video conferencing app.ħ. Organization previously used Microsoft Lync and Skype for Business which is with very less feature and after this application integrated then user easily migrated to it in very less amount of time.Ħ. Easy to join meeting through the received link "easily re-direct from browser to installed app" or Join option available under the desktop app.ĥ. Sync is constant between Microsoft Outlook Calendar and Microsoft Teams Desktop app Calendar.Ĥ. Compatible to use in any browser, desktop application and mobile (iOS & Android) app.ģ. Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer & Microsoft Outlook etc.Ģ. The most intelligent feature is the link between it's similar platform application i.e. If you keep those two things in mind, then it does become a lot easier to not only effectively use, but manage this application. It also means a more robust security monitoring protocol in place, just like you do within any other Microsoft product suite. That means a little bit of patience up front as you get the environment set up and configured.

The recommendation that I have for somebody getting Microsoft Teams is that not to think of it as a Zoom or RingCentral, but rather to think of it as, again, enterprise collaboration tool. So once set up properly, it is very, very easy to use. However, it is an enterprise application. It is not a plug and play kind of an application. However, initially getting, started having user roles defined and the administrative privileges outlined by user roles, as well as the plugins, it will take a little bit of time to get going. Once we had those plugins in place, and once the administration of the various user profiles were allocated accurately, then the application itself is a breeze to use. So, there are a number of plugins to contend with. In terms of ease of getting started, I would caution the user that it is a little bit more complex to get started with Microsoft Teams than with something like RingCentral or Zoom for the simple reason that it is a comprehensive collaboration tool. So, it was for the security as well as the more robust collaboration that we chose to decide to go with Microsoft Teams. We have groups that are dispersed throughout the globe in North America, Europe, Asia, and it was the one collaboration tool that actually passed the security protocol for the enterprise across the globe hands down.

In a comparative analysis, Microsoft Teams won out from a security perspective at an enterprise level. The fact that we can actually share materials back and forth, all of those collaboration aspects of Microsoft Teams is fantastic, but the other part of it was actually security as well. The reason we chose Microsoft Teams is not only for the collaboration portion, in terms of collaboration, it allowed us to have a holistic approach to collaboration where we have chat, we have work groups, teams that are set up that are easily referenced. So, we actually are in the process of turning off such things as Mattermost and Zoom and moving over to Microsoft Teams for that collaboration purpose. We needed something that was comprehensive, that had a plugin into Outlook and was truly a collaboration tool that would allow us to undertake chat, video conferencing, meeting invites, all of those.

The reason it wasn't working for us is that although video chats were great within Zoom, it wasn't a true collaboration tool. Prior to Microsoft Teams, we had Zoom that we were using at an enterprise level. For more reviews like this, please click below. For Microsoft Teams, we give it a solid four out of five.
